Last night (Thursday 21 May 2026), The Union invited over 100 University staff to the annual Teaching Awards ceremony to celebrate the achievements our amazing staff have displayed over the last year.

It's been a record-breaking year for the Teaching Awards, with a massive 1,700+ student nominations received, demonstrating the huge amount of appreciation you guys have for staff.

Your heart-warming nominations and personal stories meant so much to the staff receiving awards and for that, we want to say a big thank you. You made it happen and without students taking the time to nominate staff who make a difference to them, there wouldn’t be any Teaching Awards.
