Join our new online community - Introducing The Union Unfiltered.
November marks Islamophobia Awareness Month, a time to recognise and challenge Islamophobia while celebrating the valuable contributions the Muslims community make to our society and beyond. It’s an opportunity to learn, reflect, and stand together against discrimination in all its forms.
Throughout the month, The Union will be hosting stalls in Reception where you can chat with Muslim students, ask questions, and learn more about their experiences and culture. These stalls offer a safe and welcoming space to have open conversations, build understanding, and celebrate the diversity that makes our university community so special.
If you’d like to get more involved, follow the Islamic Society on Instagram to stay up to date with all the activities and events taking place throughout Islamophobia Awareness Month. The Union is proud to be a place where everyone is welcome, respected, and encouraged to learn from one another. Additionally, you can find more information about the month on the official Islamophobia Awareness Month Website.
